Before adverting to the diseases under which the Revd Mr. Stanton has laboured during the period of my professional attendance upon him, I am desirous of stating what I know concerning his health previous to my arrival in the Colony; as to this, I consider, may be traced the principal cause of his excessive debility and therefore greater liability to disease ever since. Mr. S. sailed from England on the 15th June 1845, and after a tedious and trying passage arrived in this Colony 21st Dec of the same year.
